Richard Cortez Esquivel

Richard Cortez Esquivel age of 68 passed away Thursday February 2, 2023 surrounded by his family.

He resided in Abilene Tx,and was born in Winters Tx. He was a graduated of Winters High School. Richard worked as a TDCJ sergeant until his retirement on October 31 of 2015.

He was a beloved husband, father grandfather a great grandpa and friend.

He survived by his beloved wife of 35 years,Hermelinda Esquivel; daughters Jannet Felix, Brenda and Alfonso Garcia of Ballinger Tx, Mayra and husband Jorge Carmona of Abilene Tx, Herlinda and husband Justin Johnson of Abilene Tx, Priscilla and husband Joe Reyes of Abilene Tx; sons, Richard Esquivel Jr of El Paso Tx, Thomas Esquivel of Abilene Tx and Jaime Lopez; and nineteen grandchildren and seven great grand children.

The family will receive family and friends from 5 PM to 7 PM Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Fry Smith funeral home at 502 Kent Ave., Tuscola, TX. We would like to thank the Hendrick hospice team for the wonderful care and help.
