Lyndall was born January 13, 1936, in Melber, Kentucky to Herbert and Ferrell (Nipper) Jackson. He was the youngest of five, raised on the family farm. In 1955, he graduated from Lowes High School, in Lowes Kentucky. He then moved to Detroit, Michigan where he met and dated Judith and worked for Metal Molding and A&P Warehouse. He returned to Kentucky and attended Murray State Teacher’s College before being drafted into the US Army in December of 1959. He was sent to Germany where he worked in the motor pool as a mechanic. During a leave from the service, he returned to Detroit where he married Judith Johnson, his lifetime love, on January 6, 1961. He was honorably discharged in February 1962.  Upon his return to the states, he worked for Standard Oil in Paducah, Kentucky before the family moved to Detroit, Michigan where he worked for Chevrolet Gear & Axle.

In August 1971, the family moved to Lubbock, Texas, where Lyndall attended the Sunset School of Preaching and the School of Missions, graduating in January 1974. As a missionary in Worcester, Massachusetts for almost twelve years, he shared the Gospel message and converted many to Christ.

In order to help care for Judy’s aging parents, they moved to Rowlett, Texas in October 1985. While in Rowlett, he worked as a security guard at Dal-Tile and Experian and continued as a servant of the Lord’s church.

In 2006, Lyndall, Judy and her father moved to Lawn, in order to be near their daughter. He began working in Abilene at Care Inn, and then at Acadia Health Care in maintenance for 7 years. After retiring, he continued to mow lawns and do small jobs for several in the community. In 2007, he became an elder for the Lawn church of Christ and continued preaching part time and teaching Bible classes until January of 2021.

First and foremost, in his life was his faith. He was a member of the Church of Christ and had been a faithful Christian for 68 years. He loved God with all his heart, soul, and mind. He was a caring husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  He loved people and was a good friend to many.

Lyndall was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Merl Gay Mitchell; a sister, Wanda Nell Hunt; a brother, George Thomas Jackson; a sister, Mary Kate Grimmitt.

He is survived by Judith, his beloved wife of sixty years; a daughter, Jana Lynn Bradley and her husband, Terry of Lawn, Texas; a son, Craig Lyndall Jackson and his wife, Melanie of Brownwood, Texas; a granddaughter, Trisha Lynn Weaver and her husband, Adam of Springtown, Texas; and 4 great-grandchildren, Logan, Ryan, Cara, and Owen Weaver; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Lemon of Claremore, Oklahoma, and many nieces and nephews in Kentucky, Michigan, and Oklahoma.
