SAN ANGELO: Virginia Lee (Shelton) Claxton passed away on October 29, 2026 at her home San Angelo, she was surrounded by her loving husband and family. Service will be held on Tuesday November 3, 2026, at 2:00pm at Fry-Smith Funeral Home,

Tuscola. A visitation will be held on Monday November 2, from 5 to 7pm at the funeral home.

Virginia was born to Graham and Genevieve (Farrington) Shelton in Wichita Falls on November 11, 1950. She married Arthur Wayne Claxton on September 12, 1991, in Roscoe, Texas.

She worked for People for Progress in Sweetwater and Panian & Mash in Abilene and San Angelo. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in San Angelo.

She loved raising her two daughters and always enjoyed the memories they made together, with her grandchildren being her absolute delight.

Her greatest life lesson was her walk whit Christ.
