CORONADO’S CAMP: Theresa “Treedy” Irene Pentecost, 58, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at the Elm Valley Community Church at 10:30am, officiated by Ben Graves and Ken Cunningham, directed by Fry~Smith Funeral Home, Tuscola. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 30th, from 5 to 7pm at the funeral home in Tuscola.
Treedy was born to Dale and Nancy (Huestis) Cox on February 26, 1961 in Fremomt, California. Dale and Nancy moved to Texas shortly after her birth. She attended school in Merkel and Tuscola graduating from Jim Ned High School in 1979.
She worked for Hendrick Health Services until her health forced into an early retirement. It was then she became a full time “Mom” and showing off her artistic abilities, her great sense of humor, her uncanny way of being the best listener in the family. She became known for her no-bake oatmeal cookies.
Treedy married Dwight Pentecost on September 6, 1985 in Abilene. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and Nanny. She loved her family with all of her heart and soul. She and Dwight celebrated thirty-four years of marriage this past September.
She is survived by her husband Dwight Pentecost of Coronado’s Camp; children, Kristyn Graves and husband Ben of Pampa and their children Colton and Ruby, Jared Pentecost of Abilene; mother Nancy Welch of Tuscola; sister, Kathy Miller of Tuscola; brothers, Carl Cox and wife Sondra of Tuscola, Ronnie Cox of Tuscola; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Dale Cox.
