Peggy Marie (Reinbarger) Vaughn

August 26, 1935 — September 24, 2015

LAWN: Peggy Marie Vaughn, 80, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at a medical facility in Abilene. A graveside service will be held at 10:30am, Monday, September 28, 2015 at Dewey Cemetery, officiated by Steve Joiner, directed by Fry~Smith Funeral Home, Tuscola. A visitation will be held on Sunday evening September 27, from 5 to 7pm at the funeral home in Tuscola.

Peggy was born on August 26, 1935 in Abilene to George Reinbarger and Essie Thornton. Peggy moved several times while growing up.

She married Louie Vaughn on April 2, 1954. They had four children. Raising four children and juggling work, they separated and divorced only to find that they could not live without each other. They remarried and were by each other side until Louie’s passing in 2006.

Peggy enjoy bowling, she started the Texas Instruments (TI) League, she was a great cook, formable 42 player, but she loved to fish. When not fishing, she was aggravating Louie who loved every minute of it.

She is survived by her sons, Terry Don Vaughn and wife Glenda of Abilene, David Vaughn and wife Retha of Lawn, Russell Wayne and wife Sarah of Lawn, and Clifford McFarland of Houston; daughter Janet Griffith and husband Donnie of Lawn, ten grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Billie Gann.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the West Texas Rehabilitation Center, 4601 Hartford St, Abilene, TX 79605.
