Minnie Grant

LAWN: Minnie Grant, 96, went to be with her Lord on September 29, 2016. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7pm at Fry~Smith Funeral Home in Tuscola. Funeral will be at 11:00am Monday, October 3, 2016 at Lawn Baptist Church with Patrick Voce officiating. Burial will follow in McBee Cemetery.
Born May 20, 1920 to William Jackson and Hettie (Allen) Bryson. She graduated Oplin High School on her birthday in 1938. She married H.H. (Casey) Grant on February 14, 1940 in Abilene. They farmed together most of their married life. Her hobbies included traveling with the Leisure Time Traveling Club, Lawn Senior Citizens Center, quilting, and gardening. She will always be remembered by her many beautiful handmade quilts for family, friends, and public. Children came from school to view her wild flowers.
She was a member of Lawn Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Bill Grant and wife Faye of Abilene, Curtis Grant and wife Robin of Cumming, Ga; one daughter Lou Ann Mullings and husband Jimmy of Crews; ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Casey, son Lowell (Shorty), two great grancchildren, Justin and Kasha, her parents, three brothers, five sisters.
