We are sad to announce the passing of Margie Elaine Stevens Bowen Ladner (Grangran), 78 of Ovalo, Texas. She passed away on August 20, 2024 surrounded by her family at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas. A visitation will be held at Fry-Smith Funeral Home on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 5-7pm. A burial will be held at the Tuscola Cemetery on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 9am with a funeral service to follow at 10am at Fry-Smith Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ladner was born on October 20, 1945 in Abilene, Texas to Alma Stevens and O.M. Stevens of Lawn, Texas. She worked various jobs over the years such as home health, retail management, as well as being a business owner. Above all she was very compassionate about her family and loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her parents Alma and O.M. Stevens, three sisters and one brother. Two husbands H.L. Bowen II and Donald Ladner.
Margie is survived by her sister Joy Booth and husband Clyde of Lawn, Texas, two sons, Hubert (LittleH)(Hoss) Bowen III and significant other Tameria Gregory of Lawn, Texas and Michael (Skeeter) Bowen and wife Betty Bowen of Merkel, Texas, two daughters, Yvonne Bowen of Ovalo, Texas and Stacie Bowen Morten and husband Travis Morton of Winters, Texas, seven grandchildren, Amanda Mosley and husband Albert Mosley, H. Lee (Harley) Bowen IV and significant other Summer Hargrove, Michael (Mike) Bowen and wife Candice Bowen, Josh Bowen and wife Ragan Bowen, Cody Barron, Chance Morton and Chase Morton, thirteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
