Johnnie Lou (Love) Wagner

Johnnie (nee' Love) Wagner , 76, a long time member of Ovalo Baptist Church, went home to be with her Lord on November 2, 2023. A memorial service will be held at Ovalo Baptist Church on Saturday, Novemeber 11, 2023 at 2:00.


She was born on April 23, 1947 to Marshall and Willie Love.
She was the eldest of ten children; three sisters and six brothers:
Linda Follis of Ovalo, Texas, Sandra Wellard of Ovalo, Donna Cooper of Amarillo, Danny Love of Odessa, Richard Love of Odessa, Bobby Love of Wolfforth, Benny Cantell of Plainview.


Johnnie married Wayne Wagner on April 30, 1963 and eventually gave birth to their son, Wayne Wagner Jr, and daughter Sandra Johns.


She loved going to church. About two weeks before she was called home, while she was still recovering in her hospital bed, she asked her pastor what day it was, and when she was told it was Sunday, she said that she needed to get to church, even though she was in no position to go.


Johnnie loved playing games with her sisters, such as Skip-bo and Yahtzee, as well as games on her computer. She loved sharing stories of her life with Wayne.


Johnnie is preceded in death by her brother Marshall, husband Wayne, her parents, Marshall and Willie, as well as one great granddaughter, Trina.


She is survived by her son, Wayne Jr., daughter Sandra Johns, granddaughter Michelle and husband Michael Lumpkin, as well as her brothers and sisters.
