Jerry Meador peacefully passed from this life on Sunday, May 19, 2024 in Ballinger, Texas from a long battle with dementia. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
He was born on October 5, 1939 to William J. Meador and Lois Tabor Meador in Owens, Texas. Following his graduation from May, Texas, he enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Korea. After his time in the Army, he began a career in food sales. He worked for Ben E. Keith for over 20 years.
Following his retirement, he was able to pursue his love of golf and fishing. Playing golf with his friends in Baird, he made the ultimate "hole-in-one" that was recorded in the local newspaper. He also enjoyed spending time out on his land checking his cows and hunting. When he wasn't at the golf course or at the farm, he loved watching westerns.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers Robert and Donald.
Jerry is survived by his children Trina Boulter and Chad Meador, grandchildren Courtney and husband Thomas, Janae and husband Jerry, Parker and wife Amanda, Ravyn and wife Chelsea, and McKenna Meador, great grandchildren Brody, Skylar, Boston, Jodi, Noah-Kate, and Karter, brother Johnny and wife Gayle Meador, and numerous nephews and nieces.
