Florence Westerso

Florence Westerso, 78, was called to her eternal resting place on November 20, 2016. She was born May 31, 1938 to Gunnar and Matilda Kvande in Williston, ND. She married Audry Westerso July 19, 1957 and had two children, Lee Audry Westerso and Fay Ann Couture. The family moved to Great Falls, MT in 1965. There Florence was a homemaker and later held several jobs as a musician and in the cleaning industry. Florence's passion was playing bass guitar and singing. Along with her husband, she performed in just about every town in MT and made a good living doing so. Later her children joined her and Audry and they all enjoyed a family band. Florence was also an avid fisher"woman", and being a full blooded Norwegian, could out-fish the best! She loved to camp, cook, and enjoyed family outings. She was an advanced oil painter and loved sharing her landscape paintings with her family. She was also a member of the VFW and loved participating in functions they held. After Audry passed, she was with her partner, Douglas Thames for ten years and they enjoyed many of these same things together. The name Florence translates to Flower, and she was everybody's little blue bell. She had a sweet, generous heart, was beautiful inside and out and will be so missed by her family and loved ones. Please go fishing in honor of Florence and celebrate her life with happiness and joy.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lee and CJ Westerso of Elko, NV. Her daughter, Fay Ann Couture of Buffalo Gap, TX. Her partner, Douglas Thames of Great Falls, MT. Also 3 siblings; Sister and brother-in-law, Bernice and Ervin Eid of Columbia Falls, MT. Brother and sister-in-law Clarence and Martha Kvande of Great Falls, MT. and sister and brother-in-law, Helen Smith and Louie of Port Orchard, WA.
