Colby Jacob Wilde

Colby Jacob Wilde, 25 of Potosi, Texas, passed away from this life on November 15, 2023. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 2:00pm at Fry-Smith Funeral Home in Tuscola, Texas. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening, November 19, 2023 from 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.

Colby was born on June 23, 1998 in Abilene, Texas. He grew up in Eula and graduated in 2017. Colby joined the United States Army but unfortunately was medically discharged before completing basic training. Colby loved farming with his brother.

Colby met Katie Robinson on social media and the two fell in love. They were married in August of 2019 and then had the privilege of welcoming their son, Bradley Kent, into the world in August of 2022. Colby loved his family and was an amazing father.

Colby loved talking to people and never met a stranger. He had the gift of not just being able to make conversation with someone, but truly getting to know them. He was never without words and through the two summers he spent working at the State School or volunteering with Special Olympics, he became the voice for people who could not speak for themselves.

He was kind and generous and would literally give you the shirt off his back if it was needed. He loved golfing and carpentry, completing a few pieces for his parents and a crib for his son.

He is survived by his wife, Katie and their son, Bradley, his parents, Daryl and Pam Wilde, his brother Kyle Tiner and his wife Sarah, brother Caleb Wilde, sister, Katie Schaefer and her husband Jeremy, grandmother Robbye Plumber, Grandfather John Shroder, mother-in-law Lynn Robinson, brother-in-law Ben Robinson, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Kelly Tiner (2001), Grandmother Ann Chaney (2020), and father-in-law Bryan Robinson (2020).
