Bob Lee Shea Sr, 95, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2016. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 14, from 4 to 6 pm. at Fry- Smith Funeral Home in Tuscola. A burial will follow on Monday, March 16 at 10:00am. in Perry, Oklahoma under the direction of Fry-Smith Funeral Home, Tuscola.
Bob was born in Perry, Oklahoma, on June 19, 1930, to John and Gladys Shea. After high school graduation, he worked in the oilfield around Perry. He married Patsy Ruth Price on December 23, 1948. He joined the Marines on May 22, 1952 and was stationed in San Diego, California.
Later, as a lifetime oilfield pumper for Anadarko Production, Bob made his home in Jacksboro, Iraan, Albany, and Haskell, Texas, then in Eunice, New Mexico. When he retired, he moved to Possum Kingdom Lake and then finally to Tuscola, Texas.
Bob was a quiet man of integrity. He worked hard to support his family, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Tuscola. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and his sister, June.
He is survived by his son, Bobby and wife, Gail, of Tuscola; son, Richard, and wife, Janet, of Mineral Wells; grandson, Jason Shea, and wife, Kari; granddaughter, Lindsay Megee and husband, Phillip; granddaughter, Kriste Underwood, and husband, Daryl; granddaughter, Shannon Shea; granddaughter, Stacy Robinson, and husband, Todd; and great grandchildren, Sydnee and Ellie Shea, Bryce and Dylan Jones, Bodie and Shea Adams, and Jackson and Kirby Robinson.
The family would like to thank the staff of Windcrest Health and Rehab along with the caring folks of Hendrick Hospice for their wonderful care. May God Bless you all.
