Beverly McVey

Beverly Ann McVey, 88, went to be with her Lord on November 15th 2025. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday November 24th, 2025 with a public visitation at 10 a.m. at Fry-Smith funeral Home in Tuscola and a private graveside service at 12:30 p.m. at Buffalo Gap Cemetery.

Beverly Ann Weigand was born July 14, 1937 in Altoona , Pennsylvania. She had 5 brothers and 4 sisters. She attended catholic school for 8 years and then public High School. Beverly was 17 when she married Norman McVey. The Couple had 3 children, Steve, Sharon , and Michael. They eventually had 4 Grand children and 7 Great Grand children, and 3 Great ,Great Grandchildren.

Beverly and Norman Moved frequently in their early lives as Norman was a electrician in the Air Force. Some of their locations included Greenland, New Mexico, Austin, Spain, North Carolina , the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs , Arkansas and finally a retirement in Abilene. The Family of 5 settled in Elm Valley where Beverly worked at Coronados Camp on 277 Highway.

Some of her interests included painting, walking with her friends, and enjoying her Grandchildren. One of their favorite activities was visiting local nursing homes. They built meaningful relationships at many of these care facilities. One of Beverlys' favorite events was music night where she would wheel residents across the dance floor in their wheel chair.
The family would like to especially Thank Melissa Bagwell of Melissas' Assisted Living. Both Beverly and Norman received excellent care from Melissa and her staff.
