Arazella Lyster

Arazella Lyster promoted to glory on Friday, September 12, 2025, at her home in Tuscola,. Texas with family members and friends in attendance. A visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Tuscola on Friday, September 19 from 5:00-7:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at the First Baptist Church of Tuscola at 12:00pm.

Arazella Lyster was born on September 17, 1943, in Plainview, Texas, to parents Palmer and Mabel Burreson, the youngest of six children.

Arazella is survived by her husband Robert, their daughter, Helen and her husband Dale Mason, and their son, Robert Lyster Jr. and his wife Leslie. 6 grandchildren: James Mason and his wife Kellie, and Jaima Krauss and her husband Ethan, Kimberly, Jeremy and Cameron Collins and Christopher Gore, and one great-granddaughter, Melody Ann Krauss. Her sister Cora Wilson and many numerous and special nieces and nephews.

Although Arazella was raised in a Christian home, it was not until she was a young adult that she accepted Christ as her savior and committed her life to Him.

Robert and Arazella began dating in July 1970 and were married May 15, 1971. They had 54 wonderful years together.

Following her salvation, the Lord always held first place in Arazella's life. She spent the early years of her marriage working with junior high students and later worked with toddlers.

As she grew older, Arazella began working with adult women, not as a teacher but as an encourager, and she was not shy about sharing her faith. There were many times in the middle of conversations she would look directly at a person and say, "Do you know that Jesus Loves You?"

Arazella will be missed, but she knew that her time was short and that she was ready to see Jesus; and even on her death bed, she let her care givers know that she was heading to Heaven and that she would be there to meet them when they arrived in Heaven as well.
