Jerry W (Cannon) Cannon

April 10, 1945 — April 24, 2018

TUSCOLA: Jerry Cannon, 73, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018. A graveside service was held in the Buffalo Gap Cemetery on Saturday April, 28, 2018, directed by Fry~Smith Funeral Home, Tuscola.

Jerry was born April 10, 1945 in Brownwood to Robert and Dorothy (Lampman) Cannon. He attend school in Brownwood. He then attended school at Texas A&M and received a degree in Agriculture.

He joined the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. He returned to Brownwood and joined the Brownwood Police department. He served the people of Brownwood for eight years as an officer and later sargent.

He married Sandra White in 1977 in Brownwood. They moved to Abilene in July of 1978 where he went to work in the oilfield and later opened OSI Security, the first security company in Abilene. He retired in 2003.

Jerry is a past president of Crime Stoppers, Jerry loved to work with other business and was often a mentor to them.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years Sandra Cannon: his two sons Greg and Kevin both of Abilene: two grandsons Colby Marcee and Justin White: granddaughters Raemy Marcee, Kristin White, Levi Cannon, Chase Cannon; sister Pat Chick and husband Charlie of Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Clint White and daughter Raelynn Cannon.
